These sessions are instructor lead small groups, designed to introduce your older children to climbing in a fun and safe way! As well as being fun, these sessions will aim to introduce basic rope work skills.
During our Activity Days, children aged 10-16 years will partake in various activities within the centre. These are Climbing, Bouldering, Abseiling and various climbing games. These are run during Nottingham City School Holidays.

Our D of E Climbing Sessions are primarily aimed at 14-18 year olds who wish to do climbing as their D of E Physical. However, you don't need to be completing your D of E if you wish to take part, you can just want to climb with your age group - this can also accommodate GCSE and A Level PE courses.
Thinking of trying a new activity with the kids? Climbing is a very exciting and fun family activity! The session will give everyone plenty of opportunity to to take part in roped and un-roped climbing. There is also the opportunity to teach the adults the skills required to become proficient in using the centre unsupervised.
A good way to meet up and take part in instructor lead climbing activities with other home educated children. Sessions are fun with a longer term view to learning climbing and rope work skills alongisde teamwork.
This is our 5-7 year old, regular, instructor lead, climbing sessions. The sessions are designed to develop climbing skills and teamwork. It is a fantastic way to get ready for the NICAS sessions when they are old enough.
NICAS (National Indoor Climbing Award Scheme) are regular, instructor lead, climbing sessions. They are designed to introduce your children to climbing in a fun and educational way. The long term outcome is to complete each level (1-5) to gain the skills needed to become a competent, independent youth climber.
Depending on the level your child is at, the sessions vary:
Levels 1-3 - 1.5 hrs £15
Levels 4-5 - 2 hrs £20.
The Climbing Team is divided into Juniors (8-11) and Seniors (12-17). They train twice a week to enter into competitions, in their age categories, across the country. These competitions include the Midlands Youth Climbing Series (MYCS) and British Youth Climbing Series (YCS). During training, the focus is put on improving physical, psychological, technical and tactical elements of climbing.
