We have many courses on offer at the Climbing Centre. For simplicity, we have listed information on our most popular courses and prices. Please click on one of the links on the right to find out more information. If you do not see what you are after, or the course doesn’t sound quite right then please contact us to tailor a course that can suite your every need.

Before using the facilities at the wall for the first time we need to find out if you actually need to take a course or whether you are able to just come along and start climbing right away. Please read through the Are you a competent climber? section.

• Can you put a sit harness on correctly?
• Are you able to tie on with a figure of eight knot?
• Can you use a belay device correctly?
• Do you know and understand the concept of bouldering?

If you can answer yes to all of these then there is no need for a tuition course; you can come along any time that we are open, pay your lifetime membership (£3), your entry fee for that day (Prices section) and get straight onto the wall.

If you are under 18 and are a competent climber then we will need a parental consent form filling out before climbing and you will be assessed competent by a member of staff.

If you are unable to do any of the above, you will NOT, for safety, be allowed to use Nottingham Climbing Centre unless: You are under the supervision of a Registered Instructor of the Nottingham Climbing Centre or you have a climbing partner with you who is capable of showing you how to perform the above procedures correctly. This person must be prepared to assume all responsibility for your supervision during your climbing session and must complete a Novice Supervision form.

Note: You will have to be experienced in all aspects to be able to use our centre, so even if you are ten times world bouldering champion, unfortunately we can’t let you in unless you know how to put your harness on.
