We have several several instructional sessions for the whole family over the Christmas holidays – for dates please click here.

Whether looking at getting the kids doing something active or fancy having a go yourself, these sessions are aimed at introducing families to climbing safely at Nottingham Climbing Centre. In a small group you will learn how to climb safely both with ropes and without (bouldering). After your 2 hour instructional session you should be competent enough to  visit the centre independently as a member whenever you wish.

Dates have been released for taster sessions over Christmas and Junior Supervised Sessions for January- February.

Well done to all who came along to the  November competition. The 30 competition problems and 5 non competition circuits of 20 each problems are available on the pool walls and the 35m back travesing wall for all to climb – grades from 4a to 7a.

The new back wall has been open for a couple of weeks now and we’ve received some really positive feedback on it. Work continues on refurbishing the gents loos and changing room, but should be completed soon.

Also a new shop area is being built just off reception, due to open soon, stocking essential climbing equipment, boots etc.

We have new matting coming for the back bouldering walls next Wednesday and hope to have the area open as soon as fitting is completed on Friday. We are mad busy finishing construction of the bridge and painting in order to be ready for the matting. We hope to put a handful of new routes in the pool on Friday, with a full re-set in a week or so, when we have finished the back bouldering developments. Gents loos are coming along with fittings starting to go in. Finally we’ve had a doorway knocked through from reception to what will become our shop area! Thanks for your patience whilst we work hard to improve the centre.

Good news, bad news, good news! Firstly good news that we are extending the textured slab, both towards the changing rooms and towards the yellow wall. This will provide over 30m of bouldering traverse!

Bad news is that the slab textured area will be closed for construction until July 15th.

Further good news is that brand new matting is being fitted throughout this area during this closure.

We look forward to opening the new walls!!
